About
The Intergy Modernization project was a year-long initiative aimed at enhancing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. While the project ultimately did not come to fruition due to funding constraints, the extensive research and innovative ideas developed during this time have been repurposed for the new Clinical Assist product, showcased in my portfolio.
Research and Engagement
Throughout the project, we engaged deeply with our clients to identify essential features that would alleviate EHR-related burnout and reduce excessive clicks. This involved organizing focus groups and administering surveys to gather comprehensive data on user needs and preferences.
Discovery and Analysis
Our team collaborated with multiple internal groups to conduct initial discovery activities. We created journey maps to highlight user pain points and opportunities for improvement, as well as flowcharts that detailed the backend processes for medication management within the system. This phase was particularly rewarding as we explored innovative solutions to simplify workflows.
Design Consistency
Utilizing the Elements Design System, we ensured consistency across all our products. The design process involved close collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Clinical, Product, and Client Support subject matter experts (SMEs). This multifaceted approach provided us with a holistic view of the user experience and informed our design decisions.
Prototyping and Usability Testing
The design team produced multiple prototypes for usability testing, leveraging the PURE method to compare our existing system with the proposed enhancements. This allowed us to meticulously analyze each workflow step, assessing ease of use and identifying opportunities to streamline processes for our users.
